Winter Day

On a winter day, from inside a car speeding down the highway, I passed by countless trees stripped bare, their branches stark against the sky. Though everything rushed by quickly, the trees remained surprisingly clear in view, and I could even spot a few birds perched atop them. It felt both familiar and a little pitiful—seeing them braving the cold wind like that. Still, there was something comforting about the sight, perhaps because it seemed like they had found a moment of stillness in their own way.
